The Commission has been constituted vide Pb. Govt. notification No.37-Leg./2011. Dated 20th October, 2011. The following Commissioners have been administered the oath of office by honorable Chief Minister of Punjab on 23/November/2011. Vide notification no. 1/42/2011-1 PGRC/1485-1496 dated 28.11.11. Sh. S.M. Sharma, Commissioner has been nominated as officiating Chief Commissioner by Government of Punjab in addition to his own duties till the Chief Commissioner of the commission is appointed.
